BROWNSVILLE, Texas (May 15, 2026) — Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport (BRO) today marked a major milestone with the launch of new nonstop service to Orlando International Airport (MCO), now underway with Breeze Airways.
The inaugural flight departed this morning following a celebratory sendoff at the airport, where local leaders, partners, and community members gathered to recognize the significance of the new route for the Rio Grande Valley.
The new service connects Brownsville and the region directly to one of the country’s most in-demand destinations, expanding access for both leisure and business travelers while reinforcing BRO’s continued growth and momentum.

The Orlando route is part of BRO’s broader efforts to enhance air service and provide more convenient travel options for residents and visitors. With twice-weekly service, the route provides a direct link between South Texas and Central Florida, making travel more convenient for both leisure and business passengers.
